Alex Bregman's 5-for-5, 2-HR night guides Red Sox over Rays

Mandatory Credit: Jonathan Dyer-Imagn Images Alex Bregman collected five hits, including two home runs, and drove in four runs to lead the visiting Boston Red Sox to a 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.
Bregman hit solo home runs in the third and seventh innings. The Red Sox also received a two-run home run from Jarren Duran, who walked twice and scored twice.
Boston's first two home runs came against Tampa Bay starter Ryan Pepiot (1-2). Bregman hit his second home run -- his fourth of the season -- against reliever Hunter Bigge.
Jonathan Aranda hit his third home run of the season for the Rays. Aranda and Jake Mangum each had two of Tampa Bay's seven hits.
Boston starter Walker Buehler (2-1) limited the Rays to two runs on three hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out three. Aroldis Chapman struck out the only batter he faced to earn his fourth save.
Pepiot went six innings and gave up six runs on nine hits. He struck out eight and walked two.
Bregman's RBI single in the first inning drove in Rafael Devers and gave the Red Sox a 1-0 lead. Boston extended its lead to 3-0 when Carlos Narvaez singled before Duran's two-run homer in the second.
Aranda's solo home run cut Boston's lead to 3-1, but the Red Sox added two runs in their half of the third. Bregman homered to make it 4-1 and Ceddanne Rafaela's single drove in Wilyer Abreu.
The Red Sox led 6-1 after Duran walked and scored on Bregman's double in the fourth. The Rays cut the margin to 6-2 when Kameron Misner's sacrifice fly drove in Junior Caminero in the bottom of the inning.
Bregman's second homer pushed Boston's advantage to 7-2.
Tampa Bay capped the scoring in the ninth. Misner singled, took third on Mangum's double and scored on a Taylor Walls groundout. Magnum made it 7-4 on Yandy Diaz's RBI single.
