Alfredo Despaigne Has The Slowest Home Run Trots Ever
Cuban left fielder Alfredo Despaigne is one of the best baseball players not currently playing in Major League Baseball, and he's going to celebrate home runs however he damn pleases. Today his Alazanes de Granma took on Cazadores de Artemisa, and Despaigne mashed two homers. To celebrate, he busted out the two slowest trots you're likely to see. If anybody rounded the bases this slowly in MLB, the entire Atlanta Braves team would threaten to fight them for sullying the honor of baseball's unwritten rules.
When you're done marvelling at the man's nonchalance, go check out Despaigne's Cuban National Series or Nippon Professional Baseball stats on Baseball-Reference. He is too damn good.
