Currently the senior vice president of finance and administration, Jolly will start her new job on April 6. She succeeds John Carpino, who held the role since 2009. He will remain with the Angels for an unspecified time to work on special projects
"As we begin our 66th season, Molly's deep experience in all aspects of the organization, and her passion for our community and team make her the perfect leader in our next chapter of Angels Baseball," Angels owner Arte Moreno said in a news release.
Jolly will become the ninth person -- and first woman -- to hold the title. Her responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, handling duties such as marketing, facility management and business strategy.
This will be Jolly's 26th season with the Angels.
The club will be seeking a postseason berth for the first time since 2014 when the season opens March 26 on the road against the Houston Astros. Their playoff drought is the longest in the major leagues.
