At Least the Bears Signed Some People

An MRI confirms that Cubs 28 year-old right-hander Angel Guzman has a career threatening ligament tear in his right shoulder.

Guzman has not decided whether or not to have surgery. This is the type of injury that surgery may not fix. His other option is to heal without going under the knife. But that's not a panacea either. Basically, he's really hurt and both options are not even close to be considered a safe bet. It is not looking good for Mr. Guzman's future in baseball.
