ATP roundup: Stefanos Tsitsipas wins first title since March 2025

Former World No. 3 and two-time Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas collected his first ATP title in 16 months, toppling No. 7 seed Raphael Collignon 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-3 in the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad final Sunday in Switzerland.

Tsitsipas, 27, who notched his 13th ATP title, had not won since March 2025, when he took down Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets at the Dubai Open. The Greece native will climb 30 spots to No. 55 in the updated world rankings on Monday.

Unseeded at Gstaad, Tsitsipas defeated No. 5 seed Ignacio Buse of Peru and No. 4 seed Arthur Rinderknech of France on his way to the final against Collignon. Tsitsipa was sharp on serve, hitting four aces with no double faults. He won 21 of 29 of his second-serve points and saved 2 of 4 break points he faced.

Belgium's Collignon, 24, ranked No. 42 in the world, was competing in his first ATP final. He forced a decisive third set with an impressive second-set tiebreaker win, but had his serve broken twice in the final set, including match point.

Nordea Open

It took top seed Andrey Rublev only 77 minutes to become a two-time champion at Bastad as he swept defending champion and No. 2 seed Luciano Darderi 6-4, 6-3 in the final.

Rublev, 28, also ended a lengthy title drought, with the Russian's previous title win coming in February 2025 at Doha. The former World No. 5, who also won at Bastad in 2023, broke the Italian's serve to clinch the first set, then saved a break point serving at 2-0 in the second set. Overall, he won 33 of 38 points (86.8%) on his first serve.

After snapping his five-match losing streak against Top 20 opponents, Rublev will rise two spots to No. 14 in the world rankings. Darderi, ranked No. 18 in the world, committed three double faults, saved 2 of 4 break points and failed to convert either of his opportunities to break Rublev's serve.
