Auburn Football Player Shot And Killed

Auburn redshirt freshman Jakell Mitchell was shot and killed at the Tiger Lodge complex near the university Sunday morning. He was 18.

According to police, Mitchell had multiple gunshot wounds as he was transported to East Alabama Medical Center. He died at the hospital from his injuries.

Police are still looking for a suspect.

Update (3:49 p.m.): Police say they've arrested 22-year-old Markale Hart, and charged him with Mitchell's murder, per the AP.
