It is never easy getting back into the work-week grind the Monday after a holiday weekend. But here is something that may make it just a little bit easier: MLB best bets for games scheduled July 6.

It was a busy weekend for baseball players, so it's not surprising the schedule is cutting some of them a break today. There are eight games for our viewing and betting pleasure. We’ve got the three best bets for those games right here (odds via DraftKings).

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Kansas City Royals

Phillies -2 (alt run line) at +118

Philly is putting a lockdown pitcher on the mound to start the day in Cristopher Sanchez (10-3, 2.00 ERA, 1.09 WHIP). He got hit hard a couple of times last month but has allowed two runs or fewer in 15 of 18 starts. Kansas City is unlikely to break out after hitting .188 last week. Noah Cameron (4-6, 4.97 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) has allowed 18 runs over his last four starts.

Philadelphia’s lineup (.260 BA last week) should produce enough against him to cover the alternate run line.

Our Current Best Offers

New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Yankees ML at +100

The Yankees are neck deep in a slump at the moment, having lost nine of their last ten games while hitting .169 over the last week. But this team is too good not to wake up eventually. When that happens, we will not see a +100 ML on the Yankees for a long time.

Cam Schlitter got lit up in his last start, giving up four home runs in four innings before getting pulled. But he has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season; he’ll bounce back and have the kind of game we are accustomed to seeing from him.

Consequently, the lineup will not need to do much for the Yankees to get the outright win.

Our Current Best Offers

Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Over 10.5 at -105

Both teams have been hitting the ball well; the Rockies have hit .300 over the last week, while the Dodgers have hit .284. They’ve also been doing a lot with the offense they generate. Colorado has averaged 8 runs per game over the last week while the Dodgers averaged just under six runs per game.

With the pitchers taking the mound today, don’t count on either lineup going quiet. Eric Lauer hasn’t been too bad, but he has a 4-5 record, a 4.84 ERA, and a 1.27 WHIP. Colorado’s Kyle Freeland has a 7.25 ERA with a 1.60 WHIP.

The Dodgers will probably do most of the work against Freeland, but the Rockies lineup has been hitting too well to go silent against Lauer. They’ll do their part to send the final score in this game over the total.
