Djordjevic, 22, will occupy a U22 Initiative roster slot and is signed through 2028 with an option for 2029.
"Mateja is a highly-rated defender who, at a young age, has already gained a good amount of professional experience in the Serbian top division," sporting director Rodolfo Borrell said. "He has a lot of potential and we're happy to have him take the next step of his career with us in Austin."
Djordjevic appeared in 51 matches across two seasons at Serbia's FK TSC Backa Topola. He made his professional debut with Serbia's Vozdovac in 2022.
