Australian Football Player Falls To His Death In Las Vegas
John McCarthy, a player for the Australian football club Port Adelaide, fell to his death early Sunday morning in Las Vegas. McCarthy was on an end-of-season trip with the rest of his team when he became separated from the group, according to club officials. Security camera footage shows McCarthy walking into the Flamingo Hotel and Casino minutes before his demise. McCarthy fell an estimated 30 feet, and landed in the driveway of the hotel.
The autopsy and toxicology report results are not yet complete, so the cause of death will take some time to determine, but the death is not being treated as suspicious. McCarthy was 22 years old.
