Ava Heiden's 27 points lead No. 13 Iowa over Nebraska
Iowa head coach Jan Jensen talks with her team during a timeout against Minnesota on Feb. 5, 2026, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Led by Ava Heiden's career-high 27 points, No. 13 Iowa defeated Nebraska 80-67 on Monday in Lincoln, Neb., to secure its 10th straight 20-win season.
Heiden grabbed 11 rebounds, Taylor Stremlow scored a career-high 17 points and Chazadi Wright chipped in 14 points and seven assists for the Hawkeyes (20-5, 11-3 Big Ten), who have won two straight following a three-game losing streak. Journey Houston added 10 points off the bench as Iowa shot 60.4% from the field.
Nebraska (16-10, 5-10), which has lost five in a row, shot 46.6% from the field and couldn't recover from a 45-27 halftime deficit. Britt Prince scored 13 points, Eliza Maupin posted 11 points and six rebounds, and Amiah Hargrove added 10 points.
