Chicago Bears placekicker Cairo Santos is on the team's inactives list with a right thigh injury and former San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody will kick in his stead in Monday night's game versus the Washington Commanders.

Santos keyed the Bears' victory over Las Vegas on Sept. 28, hitting all four attempts in the 25-24 triumph. But he injured his thigh in the third quarter of that game and Tory Taylor handled the kickoff duties. The injury did not heal sufficiently during the Bears' bye week.

Santos has competed in 88 of 89 Bears' games since becoming a member of the team in 2020.

In the 49ers' 2025 opener, Moody missed two field-goal attempts inside 40 yards that made it tougher for San Francisco to claim a 17-13 win at Seattle. Moody was subsequently released and elevated from Chicago's practice squad on Monday. Coincidentally, Moody was replaced in San Francisco by Eddy Piniero, who held the Bears' kicking job prior to Santos.

Chicago also will be without defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee). Running back Travis Homer (calf), tight end Colston Loveland (hip) and defensive lineman Austin Booker (knee), who were all listed as questionable on Saturday's injury report, will dress in Washington.

For the Commanders, wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quad) will miss his third consecutive game. He had 5 catches for 125 yards against the Bears in Washington's miraculous 18-15 victory on Oct. 27, 2024.

Wide receiver Noah Brown (groin/knee) is also on the inactives list, but WR Deebo Samuel (heel) will dress.
