Best MLB Bets June 20: Top Baseball Betting Predictions For Friday
Now that it’s summer, there’s no better time than the present to bet on the Boys of Summer. I’m talking about baseball, of course (in case you didn’t know), and with a full slate of games on deck for today, we’ve got plenty of options for our “Best MLB Bets” list.
I don’t guarantee these as winners, but I feel pretty good about recommending each one to y’all.
Texas Rangers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Rangers ML at -190
Under 7.5 at +102
SGP Odds: +210 (FanDuel)
It has been hard to get on base against Jacob deGrom this season (0.91 WHIP) or score runs (2.19 ERA). This month, in three starts, he’s allowed just three runs—including a two-hit shutout against the Nationals on June 7.
Pirates starter Mike Burrows isn’t having as good of a season (1-1 record in five starts with a 4.24 ERA and 1.33 WHIP). However, like deGrom, he has also allowed just three runs across three starts in June.
I don’t see a Pirates lineup—hitting .164 over the last week and scoring 10 runs in their last five games—making much headway against deGrom. At the same time, Texas is only hitting .234 in the same span with 15 runs in six games. But they’ll do enough to win.

Chicago White Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Our Pick: Blue Jays -1.5 at -105 (DraftKings)
Toronto is coming off a series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Chicago got swept by the Cardinals and has lost eight in a row.
Chicago could really use a win, but all signs point toward a different outcome here:
Toronto is a solid home team (24-14); Chicago is an awful road team (7-31).
Teams have scored five or more runs in four of the last five games against Chicago.
White Sox starter Davis Martin has given up four runs in two of his last three starts (both on the road).
Toronto appears set to use relievers. The bullpen has a 3.60 ERA, and teams are hitting just .215 against it. The pen should be able to contain a struggling White Sox lineup that’s hitting .217 over the last week.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies
Our Pick: Under 11.5 at +100 (Caesars)
Colorado may be playing its best baseball of the season with wins in four of its last five games. Arizona has lost three of its last five and has allowed opponents to score five or more runs per game.
The D-backs are set to start Zac Gallen (4-8, 5.19 ERA), who has allowed four or more runs in six of his last seven starts.
Austin Gomber pitched well for the D-backs in his first start of the season on June 15 (five innings, two hits, no runs).
But don’t count on another such performance—Gomber went 5-12 with a 4.75 ERA across 30 starts last season.
