BetBoom Team, Yakult Brothers sweep at Group Stage 2 of DreamLeague 26

BetBoom Team and Yakult Brothers swept their opening matches in Group Stage 2 at DreamLeague Season 26 on Friday.

Facing off against Aurora Gaming, BetBoom Team took a pair of 41-minute matches, first on red and then on green. Yakult Brothers defeated Team Liquid with a 35-minute victory on green, followed by a 64-minute marathon win on red.

PARIVISION and Gaimin Gladiators also took victories on Friday.

PARIVISION came from behind to top Talon Esports, which grabbed the opener on green in 41 minutes. PARIVISION came back to win consecutive contests on red, first in 31 minutes and then in 42.

Gaimin Gladiators also dropped the first round to Nigma Galaxy, losing in 28 minutes on red. Gaimin followed with a 42-minute win on red and a 33-minute triumph on green.

Group Stage 2 consists of a single round-robin of best-of-three matches. Four teams then will compete in a double-elimination playoff bracket, featuring best-of-three matches until the best-of-five grand final on June 1.

The first-place team will pocket $250,000 plus a $40,000 club reward. There also will be 29,200 ESL Pro Tour points distributed among the teams participating.
