Bilibili Gaming and G2 Esports kicked off the 2026 First Stand Tournament with victories in Group A on Monday in Sao Paulo.

Bilibili Gaming outlasted FEARX 3-2, while G2 swept Secret Whales 3-0. The winners advanced to the upper-bracket final, while the losing sides will continue in the lower bracket of Group A.

The $1 million League of Legends competition features eight teams competing at Riot Games Arena in the first cross-regional tournament of the season. They were drawn into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage on Saturday and Sunday.

All matches are best-of-five. The champions take home $250,000, a quarter of the pot.

On Monday, Bilibili opened with a 30-minute victory playing on red, but FEARX moved in front thanks to a 26-minute breeze on red and a 33-minute triumph on blue.

Bilibili answered with a 25-minute victory on red to force the do-or-die fifth map, where the Chinese outfit prevailed in 34 minutes on blue. Zhuo "Knight" Ding of China was named match MVP.

Meanwhile, G2 had an easier go of things, taking down Secret Whales in 29 minutes on red, 33 minutes on blue and 28 minutes on blue. MVP honors went to G2's French-Lebanese jungle Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan.
