Blogdom's Best: Hating The Packers
This image was lost some time after publication. Previously we have examined the great fan blogs of the NFL and Major League Baseball, and what an interesting journey it was. But every great story needs a strong antagonist, and to that end we now present the anti-blogs — those Web chronicles devoted to abhorrence and loathing — what the French call b te noire. Hey, we hate the French! Grrrr. So for the next few weeks, we'll attempt to sort it all out, with your help of course. What's your favorite hater blog? Let is know at [email protected].
It's hard to imagine that anyone could find something wrong with the gentle, cheese-loving people of Wisconsin. But as Harold Ramis said in the film Stripes, "Hey, I got my ass kicked in Wisconsin once." Yeah, the Packers are known for doing that. So it figures that the team, and their devoted fans, have made some enemies. Here are three blogs that chronicle the loathing:
3. Purple Pride Packers Suck Gallery. One of the most heated, yet chilliest rivalries in all of sports. This Vikings blog has it in for the green 'n gold. 2. Packers Suck. We suppose these guys are Vikings fans, also. But since Minnesota is having its own problems, they haven't been posting for a while. 1. 49ers Anti-Packer Blog. The 49ers and Packers have a mutual disrespect that goes way back — among their fans, anyway. Come feel the lack of warmth.
