It might not yet have the online fanaticism and cachet of baseball, but the NBA and its fans are starting to catch up in the world of team-devoted blogs. To this end, Deadspin salutes these modem-addled souls and proudly presents Blogdom s Best, given to the most outstanding blog for each NBA team. There are fewer than there are for baseball, but they re out there, if you look. If you would like to nominate a blog (yours, even) for selection, just let us know at [email protected]. Today: The Los Angeles Lakers.

The team with the most wins (2,621 going into this season), the highest winning percentage (61.9 percent), the most consecutive wins in a season (33), the most NBA Finals appearances (28) and the second-most championships (14) began life as the Detroit Gems in 1946. They were sold for $15,000 the following season and relocated to Minneapolis, choosing George Mikan in the dispersal draft. You know the rest. Jack Nicholson is an avid fan, but did you know that the Red Hot Chili Peppers also rarely miss a game? As for the blogs, they are also red hot. Check out three of the best:

3. Club Lakers. More original content would be nice, and the layout is a bit whacked. But "Crucifido's Corner" has some of the best NBA insight you will find.

2. Yannis' Lakers Journal. Back after a brief break from blogging, this site is a Laker fan afavorite.

1. Show Time. Consistent, observant and with a devotion to the Lakers without being fawning.
