Brindley was placed on injured reserve Thursday, two days before his 20th birthday.
Brindley made his NHL debut in last season's regular-season finale on April 16 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
He was a second-round pick in 2023 out of Michigan, where he posted 91 points (37 goals, 54 assists) in 81 games for the Wolverines from 2022-24.
