Bob Knight Can't Stay Away From The Rape Metaphors

Bob Knight, who famously told Connie Chung in 1988 that ''if rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it,'' once again went to the well of sexual assault-themed metaphors on Mike & Mike today.

When speaking in regard to the NBA's age minimum rule and the subsequent one-and-done nature of big-time college basketball, Knight said, "It's as though they've raped college basketball in my opinion."

I'm not even going to begin to parse the implications for that statement, though it appears to dehumanize both sexual assault victims and college athletes, who are not the property of colleges as stated by Bob Knight but human beings.

We'll publish ESPN's apology as soon as they issue it; they're used to covering up for Coach Knight, after all.
