The NFL disciplined Jackson for frequent unnecessary roughness penalties, reducing the punishment from the initial four games to two. He missed the Oct. 29 home victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and Monday night's win at the Buffalo Bills. Denver had a bye in Week 9.
In a corresponding move, Denver waived rookie nose tackle Keondre Coburn, 23, who appeared in one game. The Broncos (4-5) also released cornerback Reese Taylor, 24, from the practice squad.
Jackson was ejected for the second time this season on Oct. 22 after hitting Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave on the sideline in Denver's 19-17 victory.
Jackson has already been fined four times this season, forfeiting a total of $89,670. Missing two games cost him another $279,000 in salary.
His first ejection came in Week 2 after he laid a massive hit on Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas, who came away with a concussion on the play.
Jackson, 35, is in his 14th season in the NFL and his fifth with Denver after nine with the Houston Texans. He has 22 career interceptions, returning three for touchdowns.
Jackson has 42 tackles, two interceptions and three passes defensed in seven games this season.
