Mandatory Credit: Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images The Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated starting right tackle Luke Goedeke off injured reserve on Saturday and placed him on the 53-man roster for Sunday's game against the visiting New England Patriots.
Goedeke aggravated a foot injury in Week 2 and missed the next six games. He was a full practice participant on Friday and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Goedeke, who turns 27 on Nov. 21, has started 40 of 43 games played in his NFL career since being a second-round pick in 2022 out of Central Michigan.
Shortly before the start of the season, Goedeke received a four-year, $90 million extension through the 2029 season. The $22.5 million annual average salary ranks third among right tackles.
The Buccaneers also released 25-year-old rookie safety Sebastian Castro. His lone appearance for Tampa Bay came in Week 6 on special teams when he had one tackle against the San Francisco 49ers.
Tampa Bay also elevated linebackers Nick Jackson and Mohamed Kamara from the practice squad for Sunday's game.
