ESPN reported Irving has a foot sprain and his status is unclear for Sunday's visit to Seattle to play the Seahawks (3-1).
Irving gained 165 yards from scrimmage, and had a 72-yard touchdown catch in Tampa's loss to the Eagles last week. The injury occurred in the first half while Irving was tackled by Eagles linebacker Jihaad Campbell.
Head coach Todd Bowles said Irving had an MRI exam and expects to know more in 48 hours when team medical personnel will determine whether Irving can be available at Seattle.
"They said we'll know more by Friday," Bowles said of Irving's status. "Right now it's a sprain. Taking it day-by-day. If he's not out of the boot by Friday, more than likely he's not going to play."
Irving has 430 yards from scrimmage in 2025, sixth in the NFL, and would be replaced in the lineup by Rachaad White.
White has 23 carries for 108 yards and one touchdown this season. He also has eight receptions for 34 yards.
