Bumgarner Hits Puig, Sets Off Bench-Clearing Panel Discussion

There's no brawl here. Let's get that straight off the top. But the bad blood that's existed all season between Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner and Dodgers bat-flip enthusiast Yasiel Puig reared up again tonight in Los Angeles with a simple hit by pitch.

This was all more about what Bumgarner and Puig said to each other after the pitch than the pitch itself, which was at the Dodgers outfielder's feet. But baseball players are a bored, and often boring, lot; given any opportunity to run onto the field—especially for those September call-ups—they'll take it.
