DePaul (11-17, 2-15) lost its fifth consecutive game despite a strong effort by Layden Blocker. He scored a career-high 25 points, including going 4 of 6 on 3-point attempts, and added five assists and four boards.

Coming out of a timeout, Bizjack delivered a much-needed 3-pointer, extending Butler's lead to 63-59 with 7:12 to go.
But DePaul soon took its first lead of the night at 64-63 on Rivera's bucket with 5:56 left.
