Mandatory Credit: Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports Cameron Young carded an 11-under-par 59 at the Travelers Championship on Saturday to become the 12th different golfer to record a sub-60 round on the PGA Tour and the first in four years.
Young sank a 10-foot par putt on the final hole of his third round at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., to become the first golfer to finish under 60 for a round on the PGA Tour since Scottie Scheffler at TPC Boston in 2020.
Young's previous low on the PGA Tour was a 62, recorded in 2022 in the second round of the Genesis Invitational.
Young started fast on Saturday with two birdies before recording an eagle on the par-4 third hole. He added five more birdies and an eagle on the par-4 15th hole. His 59 fell one stroke shy of Jim Furyk's 2016 record at TPC River Highlands.
