Mandatory Credit: David Kirouac-Imagn Images Catherine Dubois scored 15:33 into the fourth overtime Sunday to lift the host Montreal Victorie over the Ottawa Charge 3-2 in Laval, Quebec, Canada, ending the longest game in PWHL history and evening the teams' semifinal series at one game apiece.
With the charge trying to clear the zone, Kristin O'Neill intercepted the puck just inside the blue line to keep the Victorie onside, then found Dubois in the left slot. Dubois' wrister beat Charge goaltender Gwyneth Philips high to her glove side, ending the game 5 hours and 34 minutes after it began.
O'Neill opened the scoring with her first goal of the series at 2:25 of the first. Laura Stacey made it 2-0 Montreal in the second period before Ottawa scored twice in the final five minutes of regulation to tie it.
Aneta Tejralova scored at 15:26 of the third to put the Charge on the board, then Brianne Jenner -- who had the only assist on Tejralova's goal -- beat Ann-Renee Desbiens with 42 seconds on the clock to tie it.
Desbiens finished the game with a league-record 63 saves. Phillips had 53, the third-most all time and the highest total for a rookie.
Game 3 of the best-of-five series is scheduled for Tuesday night in Ottawa.
