Mandatory Credit: Peter Creveling-Imagn Images Jarrett Allen scored 18 points to help the Cleveland Cavaliers snap a season-high four-game losing streak in a 120-91 road win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday afternoon.
Donovan Mitchell didn't shoot well again, going 5-for-13 and missing all five 3-point attempts, but scored 16 against his former team.
De'Andre Hunter added 15 points and Evan Mobley contributed 11 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in the win. Darius Garland and Ty Jerome each scored 12 for the Cavs (57-14), who hadn't won for nine days.
Kyle Filipowski led the short-handed Jazz (16-56) with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Johnny Juzang scored 12, while Collin Sexton, Brice Sensabaugh and Jordan Clarkson each chipped in with 10 points.
Utah shot just 36 percent from the field while losing for the 12th time in 13 outings. That included a 16-for-50 performance from beyond the arc.
Cleveland dominated the paint, outsourcing the Jazz 60-30 to make up for a rough 11-for-48 showing from 3-point territory.
Cleveland seized control to open the second half, holding Utah without a bucket for nearly six minutes while scoring 15 straight to open the period. Allen scored the first and last buckets of the streak.
By the time Clarkson hit a jumper at the 6:20 mark -- after going scoreless in the first half -- the Jazz trailed 66-45. Utah missed eight shots and committed five turnovers during that fruitless stretch.
The Cavs went on to build on that lead, outscoring the Jazz 37-19 in the third quarter.
Early on, Cleveland jumped out to a 6-0 lead thanks to baskets from Mitchell, Mobley and Garland.
Utah used an 8-0 run in the second quarter to tighten things up and then took a brief lead with a six-point spurt.
Cleveland went into the locker room up 51-45 despite shooting just 39 percent from the field after Mitchell scored the final four points of the half.
Walker Kessler grabbed 13 rebounds for Utah.
