Mandatory Credit: Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images LPGA superstar Charley Hull will have a new partner in this weekend's third annual Grant Thornton Invitational, following the withdrawal of Daniel Berger on Monday evening.
Berger will be replaced by Michael Brennan, who in October won the Bank of Utah Championship in his third PGA Tour start.
No reason was given for Berger's withdrawal.
The tournament features 16 duos of PGA and LPGA professionals and will be played at the Tiburon Golf Course in Naples, Fla., beginning Friday and concluding Sunday. The first round is a scramble format, the second round is alternate shot (foursomes) and the final round is modified four-ball.
New Zealand's Lydia Ko and Australian Jason Day (26 under par) won the inaugural event in 2023, while Thailand's Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp (27 under) earned the victory in 2024. Both teams return in 2025, along with top Canadians Brooke Henderson and Corey Conners.
Both Nelly and Jessica Korda will compete, with teaming with Denny McCarthy and Bud Cauley, respectively.
Hull reached the No. 5 world ranking in September, the highest ever for a British female golfer.
