Charlie Woods falls well back in Team TaylorMade title defense
Benjamin golfer Charlie Woods chips the ball into the green during play at the Junior Orange Bowl on Jan. 3, 2026. Charlie Woods won the Team TaylorMade Invitational last year, but the son of Tiger Woods is tied for 23rd after a 3-over 73 in the second round Saturday in Belleair, Fla.
Woods, 17, a senior at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Fla., began his round on hole No. 10 and offset a pair of bogeys with a pair of birdies on the opening nine holes to shoot even par.
On hole No. 1, Woods ran into trouble with a triple bogey and followed that with a bogey on No. 2. He bounced back after that, sinking a birdie on No. 7.
Woods won last year's event at Streamsong Resort's Black course, after shooting 15-under to beat some of the nation's top junior golfers, including Miles Russell.
After that win, Woods made a massive leap in the AJGA rankings and is ranked No. 13 overall.
