Chiefs sign former first-rounder CB Kaiir Elam

The former first-round pick's agent told NFL Network of the deal on Thursday morning before the team confirmed the news in the afternoon.
Elam, drafted 23rd overall by Buffalo in 2022, has tallied 114 tackles, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries in 43 games (19 starts) with the Bills (2022-24), Dallas Cowboys (2025) and Tennessee Titans (2025).
Kansas City has voids to fill in the secondary after losing both starting cornerbacks this offseason. The Chiefs traded Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams and Jaylen Watson signed with the Rams in free agency.
