Chris Davis Hits Record-Tying Home Run
Chris Davis hit another home run Sunday, his fourth in as many days. He now has 37 on the season, which leads the league and ties Reggie Jackson's record for most home runs before the All-Star break.
That is a lot of home runs. Checking back in on our potential triple crown chase—now that we have arrived at the arbitrary and not at all "half way mark" in the season—Davis still leads in home runs and remains hot on Cabrera's heels in RBI, but he has fallen off considerably in average (.332 t0 .313) while Cabrera has maintained his, only dropping from .373, to .367.
Of equal, or perhaps more interest, though, is what we don't yet know. For instance, did Adam Jones repay Davis's wet willie from Friday?
