Rebilas-Imagn Images Los Angeles Clippers veteran guard Bradley Beal has been diagnosed with a left hip fracture, the team revealed Wednesday and will miss the remainder of the season.
Beal, who had been returning from offseason knee surgery, is expected to make a full recovery in 6-9 months.
Beal, 32, was ruled out of Monday's 105-102 loss against the Atlanta Hawks, in a game star Kawhi Leonard (ankle) also missed. Beal is believed to have injured his hip in a loss at Phoenix on Thursday while taking a charge but played Saturday in a home game against the Suns and scored 12 points.
The Clippers currently are riding a five-game losing streak in advance of a game at home against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.
Beal, who was signed by the Clippers in July after he was waived by the Suns, was averaging career lows with 8.2 points and 1.7 assists in six games this season.
This is the seventh consecutive season that Beal will play in 60 or fewer games.
Over 14 career seasons with the Washington Wizards (2012-23), Suns (2023-25) and Clippers, he has averaged 21.4 points with 4.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 807 games (758 starts).
