College Football Picks: Week 11 Predictions and Best Bets
Last week, my picks were an absolute disaster. There’s no way to sugarcoat it.
Thankfully, we’ve got a very solid slate this week, and I’m due for a big week.
These are Deadspin's best betting picks and predictions for college football Week 11.
#7 BYU vs #8 Texas Tech (-10.5)
Total: 52.5
The odds makers are BEGGING you to take BYU in this one. The higher-ranked, undefeated Cougars are getting 10.5 points on the road, and I know that means you should bet on Texas Tech, but I can’t.
BYU is 12th in the country in giveaways per game and 7th in takeaways. In bigger games, Behren Morton has tended to turn the ball over, so if BYU can steal a few extra possessions, I think they will have to keep this game close.
Texas Tech’s defense might make me look very dumb with this pick, but I just don’t believe they are trending up at the moment.
Pick: BYU +10.5

#3 Texas A&M (-6.5) vs #22 Missouri
Total: 48.5
Behind Eli Drinkwitz, Missouri wins all the games they should, but they haven’t had a lot of success at pulling off the significant season-defining win. I love their chances here at home in this one.
Texas A&M is getting propped up by a big win early in the year against Notre Dame and a blowout win against a terrible LSU team. I like Missouri outright in this one, and maybe Ahmad Hardy gets his name back in the conversations as one of the last guys to make it to New York for the Heisman ceremony.
Pick: Missouri (+6.5)

#9 Oregon (-6.5) vs #20 Iowa
Total: 42.5
The Iowa we saw at the start of the year is not the one we’re seeing today. They’ve found some new success in their offense by using Mark Gronowski’s legs.
In conference play, when Gronowski runs the ball at least 9 times, the Hawkeyes are 3-0 and averaging 35 points a game. When he doesn’t, they’re 1-1, only scoring 26.
The Iowa offense is a lot better than people give it credit, and overs in their games are 5-3 this year. I love the Hawkeyes and the over in this one.
Pick: o42.5 and Iowa (+6.5)
Navy vs #10 Notre Dame (-26.5)
Total: 55.5
After last week’s rock fight with Boston College, the books want you to bet on Navy. They’re 7-1 and look like a team that could pull off this upset. Don’t do it.
This Navy team is not very good, and Notre Dame might win this game by a large margin. It’s back in Notre Dame this year, and unlike old Brian Kelly teams, who might keep this game close, you won’t be seeing that from Marcus Freeman.
Pick: Notre Dame (-26.5)
Lean: u55.5
