College Hoops Compendium: Noah Disappoints
• LSU 66, (3) Florida 56. Joakim Noah: 4 points, 3 rebounds, 0 swipes at cheerleaders, 0 sissy arguments with opposing coaches about who gets to hold the basketball. We expect a higher level of production all around, Joakim. See that it doesn't happen again. Florida was never really close past three minutes into the game. LSU controlled the boards (even without Big Baby) and played some excellent defense. The Gators didn't seem particularly interested.
• 12 Georgetown 61, (8) Pitt 53. It feels like it's been a long time since Georgetown was an top of the Big East... but that's where they find themselves this morning after their win over the sort-of-struggling Panthers yesterday. Pitt's lost two of their last four. Not terrible, of course, but they'd won 12 of 13 before that. G'Town's won 11 straight Big East games.
• (15) Butler 56, Detroit 36. I know Butler can play some defense, but that just seems unnecessarily mean. Thirty-six points for the UDM Titans? It's like they're not very good or something. Kevin Durant nearly scored that by himself yesterday. Brandon Crone led the Titans with 17 points, and the win clinches a share of the Horizon League regular season crown.
• (2) Wisconsin @ (1) Ohio State. It's the two highest-ranked teams in the country, it's Alando Tucker and Greg Oden, the Big Ten title could hang in the balance. It's at 4:00 on CBS.
