TMZ has obtained photos and additional details from the night when Johnny Manziel was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault after his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley says he hit her several times in Jan. 2016. Manziel’s case was dismissed in Nov. 2016 after he agreed to attend counseling and stay away from Crowley. Much of what was in the case file obtained by TMZ has already been made public in Crowley’s request for a restraining order against Manziel, though the photos have never been made public before.
On the night of Jan. 29, Manziel and Crowley, who were broken up, met and planned to spend the night together in a Dallas hotel. After getting into an argument over “him being with a girl who had caused us problems in the past,” Crowley said she was going to sleep on the couch, which prompted Manziel to throw her on the bed. After initially refusing to let her leave, Crowley says Manziel agreed to drive her to her car. She tried to hide, but Manziel threw her back in the car.
According to what Crowley told the cops, Manziel tossed her into the car, bruised her back, and when he struck her in the face, he ruptured her left eardrum. The police report apparently says, “She felt like she was going to die or get beaten really bad.”
Manziel, who is currently mounting a comeback attempt of sorts, has completed the required anger management courses, which is why his files are being released.
