The Cubs open the MLB season at home Sunday night against the St. Louis Cardinals, and they will do so without seats in the outfield.
The Wrigley Field renovation plans have been a nightmare from the start, and as the Cubs fell behind with construction work, they couldn’t secure permits from the city to work more hours to catch up. The team hopes to have the bleachers completed some time during the season.
