Cyclist Crashes At High Speed After His Handlebars Snap Off
Image via [object Object] French neo-pro Maxime Roger was motoring through a time trial at the Tour of Moselle last weekend, when his time trial bars snapped off of his bike after he went over a bump, sending Roger sprawling to the deck at approximately 60 kilometers per hour (or 36 mph). Roger was in second place heading into the stage but he had to abandon the race after the crash.
If you watch the slow motion version you can see his front tire explode after his dick smashes into the stem. Happily, Roger told DirectVelo after the crash that he’d escaped long term damage, and could even come back by the end of the month.
