Danilo Gallinari Breaks His Hand In Fight During International Friendly
Image: Twitter Danilo Gallinari, newly of the Los Angeles Clippers, has reportedly broken his hand after landing a looping right hand in a fight during an exhibition game today:
Here’s video of the fight, which took place after Jito Kok of the Netherlands got a little carried away boxing out on a free throw in an Italy-Netherlands friendly:
Reports had Gallinari heading to the hospital for evaluation after the scuffle, and Sports Illustrated reported that the injury to Gallinari’s thumb was, in fact, a fracture.
Gallinari is a huge part of the post-Chris Paul plan in Los Angeles, having just inked a three-year $65 million sign-and-trade contract as part of the three-team deal that landed him with the Clippers. He and new teammate Blake Griffin can now bond over breaking-hand-in-dumb-fight war stories.
