DBacks 2B Ketel Marte leaves game vs. Giants with foot contusion

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte was removed from Wednesday's road game against the San Francisco Giants before the bottom of the seventh inning.
The three-time All-Star walked off the field with a slight limp after a visit from the team training staff. Manager Torey Lovullo said after the 5-3 win that he sustained a right foot contusion, but that no x-rays would be required and he was expected to have Marte available for Friday's series opener at Minnesota after Thursday's off day.
Marte fouled a pitch off his foot in the first inning of Wednesday's game, but wasn't removed until six innings later.
Marte, 31, is batting .283 with 25 home runs and 64 RBIs in 112 games entering Wednesday. He missed nearly a month of action early in the season after suffering a left hamstring strain in April.
The Diamondback (72-74) entered Wednesday's game 4.5 games back of the third NL wild-card spot with 16 games left to play.
