Deion Sanders Kept Bikini-Clad Pro Bowl Streaker Out Of Jail
The Pro Bowl fosters two traditions: crushing boredom, and fans running onto the field. Sunday's edition produced both!
This year saw a young woman in a cape and bikini top take to the field after a touchdown and celebrate with the players. But, she tells KHON news, she wasn't doing it just for the attention. She wanted to honor her paralyzed cousin who always hoped to attend a Pro Bowl, but is physically unable. Katrina Torres even had "I did it for Gary" written on her back.
"He can't talk, but he was just smiling a lot and he was just fist pumping. They said as soon as we saw you jump, his face just lit up and he was just fist pumping and stuff so that made it so worth it for me," Torres said.
The true heartwarming bit came after she was corralled by security. She explained to them her inspiration, and was apparently overheard by coach Sanders.
"Deion Sanders came running behind us and he's like, 'Hey don't arrest her. That was really cool. Just don't arrest her. If you arrest her, I'm gonna bail her right out,'" Torres said.
Torres's only punishment is a one-year ban from Aloha Stadium. So it'll expire right in time for next year's Pro Bowl.
