Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports The Los Angeles Dodgers placed right-hander Kyle Hurt on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right shoulder inflammation.
The move is retroactive to Wednesday. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers recalled left-hander Nick Ramirez from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Hurt, 25, made his first start in the major leagues on Tuesday, and in three games this season is 0-1 with a 1.35 ERA, one walk and three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
He made his MLB debut last September for his lone appearance last season, when he was selected the 2023 Branch Rickey Minor League Pitcher of the Year.
Ramirez, 34, has not allowed a run in three innings during two relief appearances this season. For his career, he is 7-7 with a 3.97 ERA, 56 walks and 128 strikeouts in 154 1/3 innings over 98 games for the Detroit Tigers (2019-20), San Diego Padres (2021), New York Yankees (2023) and Dodgers.
