Pierre-Paul, a three-time Pro Bowl defensive end and first-team All-Pro in 2011, signed with the Dolphins on Nov. 28. The South Florida native logged just five defensive snaps in two games with the team and was inactive for Miami's 30-0 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday.
Pierre-Paul, who will turn 35 on New Year's Day, is a two-time Super Bowl champion with 94.5 career sacks in 180 games (150 starts) with the New York Giants (2010-17), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2018-21), Baltimore Ravens (2022), New Orleans Saints (2023) and Dolphins.
Selected by the Giants with the 15th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Pierre-Paul has recorded 631 tackles, 167 quarterback hits, 21 forced fumbles, 10 fumble recoveries, five interceptions and three defensive touchdowns while playing defensive end and outside linebacker.
Brooks, 23, had 15 carries for 94 yards in six games before sustaining ankle and knee injuries. He landed on injured reserve on Oct. 20 and began practicing with the team on Nov. 29.
