Waddle appeared to sustain the injury during the third quarter of Miami's 22-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. He had one catch for 50 yards for the Dolphins (11-4), who have won five of their last six games.
"He's had other things that might take other players ... take longer to come back from," McDaniel said, via the Miami Herald. "I do have a lot of confidence in him in those situations. He's a really tough player, and has battled through some tough things."
Waddle, 25, has 72 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games (all starts) this season. He has 251 receptions for 3,385 yards and 18 touchdowns in 47 career games (all starts) since being selected by Miami with the sixth overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Alabama.
