Eric Berry Has A Torn Achilles

Starting safety and horse disliker Eric Berry looked great Thursday in Kansas City’s thrilling win over the dreaded Patriots last night, collecting seven tackles as he covered New England’s Rob Gronkowski excellently. Midway through the fourth quarter, Berry pulled up limping while defending the Patriots tight end and had to be carted off the field. Coach Andy Reid sounded grim after the game, but noted that he wanted Berry to help the team in other ways if he couldn’t play:
Reid said he told Berry after the game that “he could get started with his coaching career now. So if it works where he can’t play, then we will get him right in there and he can help out. He will still be a big part.”
