Knicks Beat Pacers To Force Game 6, Ruin Everyone's Saturday Night

Of all the NBA conference semifinals, including the Grizzlies' and Heat's respective molly whopping of the Thunder and Bulls, the Knicks-Pacers series is by far the worst. We held out hope that Indiana would be able to travel to Madison Square Garden and blow out the Knicks by like seven to put this low-scoring mockery of a competition out of its misery. Nah.

Instead, the Knicks, facing sweet elimination, were able to beat the Pacers by 10, 85-75, t0 pull back to 3-2. And so the series trudges on. Anthony had 28 points on 28 shots, and that desert thirsty JR Smith had 13. No one else really did too much of anything save Chris Copeland, who also scored 13 points.

Paul George had 23 points along with six boards and six assists, and David West chipped in with 17 points and 10 rebounds. No one else on their team did shit.

The key to the Knicks not losing is that they were able to lure Roy Hibbert into early foul trouble, and George was forced to sit in the fourth quarter when he picked up his fifth. This was huge, because the Knicks were able to match Indiana on the boards, and the Pacers had to turn to players like Gerald Green and Sam Young, who suck.

Jason Kidd, in keeping with his epic streak, missed his only shot today, a breakaway layup. The surefire HOFer is now 0-8 this series, and hasn't hit a shot since April 23, in game two of the Boston Celtics series. He contributed no other statistics tonight.

The Knicks will look to tie the series in Indiana on Saturday night. We guess we'll let you know how it goes.
