Navy SEAL Who Says He Shot Osama Pep-Talks 3-6 Washington
Rob O'Neill, the former Navy SEAL who says he shot and killed Osama bin Laden, went to Washington's team meeting on Saturday and spoke to players. Wide receiver Pierre Garcon was one of the players who took a photo with O'Neill, and he gushed about "listening to a real HERO tonight."
As pointed out by D.C. Sports Bog, there was a detail in last year's Esquire about the then-anonymous Navy SEAL who killed bin Laden, which ties into why O'Neill would take time to motivate a 3-6 team:
By early September of last year, the Shooter was out, officially. Retired.
He had survived his last deployment, and there was a barbecue near his house to celebrate with about thirty close friends from "the community." The Redskins were on, his favorite team, and there was lots of Commando ale, brewed by a former SEAL.
If you need a rousing speech to beat the 1-8 Buccaneers, though, you're already fucked.
