Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images A bad week became even worse for the Atlanta Falcons on Friday when coach Raheem Morris told reporters that star receiver Drake London (knee) and rookie cornerback Billy Bowman Jr. (Achilles) will both miss Sunday's game at the New Orleans Saints.
They join quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who is out for the rest of the season due to a partially torn ACL sustained in last week's 30-27 overtime loss at home to the Carolina Panthers, dropping the Falcons to 3-7.
London, 24, did not practice all week after sustaining the injury during the Carolina game, during which he had 119 yards for his fifth 100-yard showing in the last six games.
His 810 receiving yards this season rank fifth in the NFL while his six touchdown catches are tied for eighth.
Morris said that Bowman, who missed three games earlier in the season with a hamstring injury, hurt his Achilles during Friday's walkthrough practice. While Morris didn't have a clear idea of the extent of the injury, he labeled it as "not good."
Defensive lineman Zach Harrison (knee) and linebacker Josh Woods (hamstring) also were ruled out for Atlanta. Linebacker Divine Deablo (forearm), edge rusher Leonard Floyd (hamstring) and offensive line starters Matthew Bergeron (ankle) and Chris Lindstrom (foot) are listed as questionable.
