Falcons vs. 49ers Thursday Night Football Week 7 Betting Predictions
The San Francisco 49ers will host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football this week. The 49ers have dealt with a plethora of injuries throughout the season, but they still boast a 4-2 record. The Falcons enter this game with a 3-2 record, although their season has already seen incredible highs and unbelievable lows.
Injuries continue to be an issue for San Francisco, but that’s something they’ve been dealing with for the entire season. Instead, we can look at the injuries for Atlanta here.
The Falcons blitz at the highest rate (39.9%) in the NFL, but they struggle to consistently get pressure on opposing quarterbacks. They rank 20th in the league in pressure rate (19.6%) this season.
Jalon Walker isn’t the biggest key for the Falcons on defense, but he does rank second on the team in pressure rate. He’s already been ruled out, and that’s a major blow to Atlanta’s defense.

The Falcons are already struggling to pressure their opponents, and that’s going to be more difficult without Walker. They’re also missing a few pieces on the backend, giving another edge to the San Francisco passing game. Billy Bowman Jr. and Clark Phillips have already been ruled out, thinning the Atlanta secondary.
The 49ers will continue to struggle throughout their games because of the plethora of injuries they’re dealing with. This is one of the first times when their opponents will also be dealing with several key injuries, as well.
Atlanta’s looked outstanding at home this season, even beating the Buffalo Bills last week. They haven’t been nearly as good on the road, though. The Falcons scored 22 points against the Minnesota Vikings before being shut out by the Carolina Panthers.
We could see another situation where Atlanta struggles to travel against a team that will benefit from playing at home. We’re also in a perfect let-down, bounce-back spot.
The 49ers struggled to produce on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they’ll be in a much better environment this week. The Falcons, on the other hand, are coming off their biggest win of the season against the Bills.
We’re looking to buy low on the home team that has consistently proven they can win, regardless of surrounding issues. We can also sell high on a team coming off of their most important win of the season, but they’ll have to travel to a less-than-ideal situation.
