Fever star Caitlin Clark (quad) to return after missing five games
Jun 7, 2025; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Injured Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham (8) and guard Caitlin Clark (22) react from the bench during the first half of a WNBA game against the Chicago Sky at United Center. Mandatory Credit: Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark will return to the lineup on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis against the 9-0 New York Liberty, the team said Friday.
Clark, 23, missed the past five games with a left quad strain sustained during the Fever's previous meeting with the defending champion Liberty on May 24.
Indiana went 2-3 without Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year who is averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds in four games this season.
Clark posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists in last month's 90-88 loss to New York.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark earned All-Star and All-WNBA honors in 2024 and set a league record with 337 assists while playing all 40 games.
Barring a setback, Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters Friday that guard Sophie Cunningham is also likely to be available on Saturday. She has played only four games this season due to an ankle injury.
