FIU Is Getting A New Court, And It Could Go Horribly Wrong

Florida International hired a new coach this season, a Pitino, and is joining Conference USA in the fall. To go along with the program overhaul, their court will be getting a makeover. These are two of the prospective designs. Maybe Tommy Bahama can get in on a sponsorship deal.

Via The Dagger, Richard Pitino tweeted out a pair of designs that came across his desk. The above evokes the Atlantic shore. At bottom, the Miami Beach skyline. No word on whether Pitino's paper wasn't flat when he took the photo, or if it's actually supposed to undulate like a beach towel.

Most likely, the final design will end up being something a little more orthodox. No matter what happens, I predict you will watch precisely as many FIU games next season as you did this year.
