Flyers acquire F Trevor Zegras from Ducks

Mandatory Credit: Stephen R. Sylvanie-Imagn Images The Philadelphia Flyers acquired Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks on Monday in exchange for fellow forward Ryan Poehling and two draft picks.
The Ducks will receive a second-round draft pick (45th overall) in 2025 and a fourth-rounder in 2026.
Zegras, 24, is entering the final season of a three-year, $17.25 million deal and carries a cap hit of $5.75 million for 2025-26. He is scheduled to become a restricted free agent next summer.
Drafted by Anaheim with the ninth overall pick in 2019, Zegras has recorded 186 points (67 goals, 119 assists) in 268 games with the Ducks.
Since posting back-to-back 60-point seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23, Zegras was limited to 47 points in 88 games over the past two campaigns. He finished eighth on the team with 12 goals in 57 games in 2024-25.
Poehling, 26, tallied a career-high 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 68 games with Philadelphia in 2024-25.
Poehling has 95 points (43 goals, 52 assists) in 283 career games with the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins and Flyers. Montreal drafted him in the first round (25th overall) in 2017.
